Applications for Post Graduate MD/MS/MDS/MSC Nusring, Msc Public Health, MPT, Msc Bichemistry and Msc Microbiology (Academic year 2080)

Applications are invited for the following MD/MS/MDS/MSC Nusring programs of Kathmandu University from eligible candidates.

A. MD / MS (Clinical Sciences including Pathology)

• Anaesthesiology
• Dermatology
• General Surgery
• Internal Medicine
• Obstetrics & Gynaecology
• Ophthalmology
• Orthopaedics
• Oto- rhinolaryngology
• Paediatrics
• Psychiatry
• Radio Diagnosis
• Pathology
• General Practice

Eligibility Criteria

1. MBBS or equivalent degree in modern medicine from an institution recognized by Kathmandu University and One year of clinical experience after obtaining MBBS degree.
2. Registration with Nepal Medical Council

B. MD / MS (Basic Medical Sciences including Forensic Medicine)

• Anatomy
• Biochemistry
• Community Medicine
• Forensic Medicine
• Microbiology
• Pharmacology
• Physiology 

Eligibility Criteria

1. MBBS or equivalent degree in modern medicine from an institution recognised by Kathmandu University.
2. For the subject of Anatomy, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Pharmacology and Physiology, candidates who have completed Bridge course after BDS can apply
3. Registration with Nepal Medical Council.

C. MDS Program in different subjects

Eligibility Criteria

1. BDS or equivalent degree from a recognized institution by Kathmandu University and one year of Clinical experience by 9 April 2019 after obtaining Nepal Medical Council Registration.
2. Registration in Nepal Medical Council

D. M.Sc. Nursing Program in different subjects

Eligibility Criteria

1. Have successfully completed 4 years B.Sc Nursing or minimum of 3 years Bachelor in Nursing (BNS) from a recognized institution adn should have secured an aggregate of 60% or more marks.
2. Have minimum of one year of clinical or teaching experience after successful completion of 4 years B.Sc. Nursing or minimum of 3 years Bachelor in Nursing Sciences (BNS).
3. Be registered with Nepal Nursing Council.

All the candidates who have successfully passed the entrance examination dated 2-4 Poush 2079 (17-19 Dec. 2022)and selected for admission according to notice published on 26 Chaitra 2079 (9 April 2023) by Medical Education Commission (MEC) under Nepali Open Category of Postgraduate Program for Kathmandu University and its affiliated /Extended colleges according to rules of MEC are hereby informed as follows:

Application Form, Submission Process and Deadline

• Admission process will be completed by Online. Selected candidates are informed to fill and submit the online admission form available at www.kusms.edu.np by 30 ^th Chaitra, 2079 (13^th April, 2023 ) before 2:00 pm . Candidates will receive a confirmation email after successfully submission of online admission form.
• Candidate will be able to print admission confirmation page from their own MEC portal within 48 hrs. of online form submission. The admission confirmation document is mandatory to get registered in the university; therefore candidate must print and save it safely.
• Bank voucher of the first installment fees deposited at Nepal Investment Megha Bank Ltd. , Banepa Branch, in the Account KU-SMS-1, No. 00502050250498 as follows:

Note :

1. There will be no provision of  refund once the candidate deposit the amount to proceed admission in their respective program.
2. Admitted students must report to their concerned colleges by  10^th Baishakh 2080 (23^rd  April 2023)
