The National Skills Testing Committee (NSTB) of the Council for Technical Education and Vocational Training (CTEVT), Sanothimi, Bhaktapur, calls for applications for skill testing. Applications for skill testing are invited from Nepali citizens who are self-employed, experienced, or returned from foreign employment and possess any professional skill/efficiency. These tests are conducted based on the Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) at subsidized fees under the regular NSTB/NVQS national occupational skill standards approved by the National Skill Testing Board.

Conditions to be Followed While Filling the Application Form for Skill Testing

  1. This notice and application form can be downloaded from the National Skill Testing Committee (NSTB) website (www.nstb.org.np) or obtained from designated centers.
  2. If the final submission date falls on a public holiday, submission will be accepted on the next working day.
  3. The application form must be submitted along with:
    • Two copies of recent passport-sized photographs (identical)
    • Copy of citizenship certificate
    • Training certificate or proof of experience:
      • Training certificates must be issued at least one year prior by CTEVT constituent, partner, or affiliated institutions, or by ministries/departments of the Government of Nepal
      • For experience: a certified copy of a letter or certificate clearly mentioning the duration of work, issued by Government, semi-government, or registered private organizations (with PAN or VAT number)
      • Only work experience gained after the age of 16 will be considered valid
  4. The subsidized category includes women, Dalit, Janajati, persons with disabilities, and other groups specified by the Government of Nepal. Except for women, applicants must provide certified documents verifying their eligibility.
  5. Applicants who have returned from foreign employment must submit:
    • Work experience certificate related to the occupation (translated into English if in another language)
    • Copies of passport and visa
  6. Applications with incomplete documents, submitted after the deadline, or not meeting requirements will be automatically rejected.
  7. Skill testing will not be conducted for any occupation if fewer than three valid applications are received.
  8. The skill test date will be notified via SMS. Applicants must collect their admit card in person from the same center where they submitted the form, at least one day before the test. The test may begin from the day following the contact date.
  9. Applicants must bring their own tools and equipment required for the respective occupation.
    • For Beautician and Barber professions, candidates must bring their own testing materials
    • All personal health and safety protocols must be strictly followed
  10. Applicants who have previously appeared in skill tests must mention their earlier registration number. Those reappearing must mark the “Re-test” section in the application form.
  11. Applicants who have passed Level 1 must submit:
  • Skill certificate
  • Work experience letter for Level 2 application. Each applicant may apply for only one level or occupation.
  1. Application collection centers must:
  • Verify all required documents
  • Enter the application into the online system within five days from the deadline
  • After final verification by NSTB, deposit the remaining amount (after deducting NPR 70 per form as entry fee) into:
    • Rastriya Banijya Bank Account No.: 1730100000183001
    • Account Name: National Skill Testing Committee, Sanothimi, Bhaktapur
  • Upload the scanned copy of the original voucher along with details of the center name and the number of applications
  1. Skill tests for the listed occupations will be conducted at certified or designated skill testing centers within the respective provinces.
  2. Successful candidates can receive their Skill Certificate and Skill Identity Card upon payment of NPR 150.
