Ramprasad Rai Rural Municipality in Bhojpur has started preparation classes for the Public Service Commission and Teacher Service Commission exams, encouraging youth to enter government service.
A 45-day free special preparation course has been launched to target young people in the rural municipality who wish to prepare for the Public Service Commission Nepal and Teacher Service Commission Nepal exams. According to Rural Municipality Chairperson Tham Bahadur Rai, the program aims to raise awareness of public and teaching services at the local level and to produce capable, nationally responsible civil servants. He stated that the classes are being conducted to reduce the growing unemployment among youth and help them become competent, strong, and self-reliant.
“We are running preparation classes for Public Service and Teacher Service exams targeting students who are studying and have the required qualifications,” said Chairperson Rai. “Our goal is to connect youth with employment and sustainable livelihoods. We believe the preparation classes will create opportunities for entry into government service.”
Such programs conducted by local governments are expected to particularly benefit students from economically disadvantaged and remote areas. Students from the rural municipality studying at Bhojpur Multiple Campus are being prioritized, and the classes are being held on the campus premises.
Currently, 50 students are participating in the preparation course. Participants have expressed enthusiasm about the support provided by the local government. Effective and regular classes, practice of model question papers, group discussions, and guidance are implemented.
The rural municipality has stated that it plans to continue such programs in the future based on needs and available resources. Students and parents have expressed happiness as competitive exam preparation opportunities are now available within rural areas.
