A tripartite agreement was signed on Wednesday at Far-Western University in Mahendranagar between Tribhuvan University, Mid-Western University, and Far-Western University for academic cooperation in study and research, according to the university’s Information Officer, Nabin Bahadur Bam. He stated that the MoU was signed by the vice-chancellors of the three universities in the presence of the Chairperson of the University Grants Commission, Prof. Dr. Devraj Adhikari. The agreement was signed by Prof. Dr. Hemraj Pant, Vice-Chancellor of Far-Western University; Prof. Dr. Deepak Aryal, Vice-Chancellor of Tribhuvan University; and Prof. Dr. Dhruva Kumar Gautam, Vice-Chancellor of Mid-Western University.
Speaking at the program, Registrar of Far-Western University, Prof. Dr. Binod Lekhak, expressed confidence that the agreement would elevate inter-university collaboration to a new level. “This agreement will serve as a milestone in addressing the shortage of skilled academic human resources through digital means and in managing qualified manpower,” he said. “We expect this understanding to make teaching, learning, and research activities for both faculty and students more efficient and effective.” The agreement aims to institutionalize the exchange of academic resources, research, technology, and experiences among the three universities.
In particular, initiatives such as joint classes through digital platforms, collaborative research, and shared use of faculty members will be implemented. The university stated that this collaboration is expected to significantly contribute to improving the quality of higher education, ensuring effective use of resources, and advancing technology-based teaching systems.
