Tribhuvan University, Faculty of Management, has introduced a two-year postgraduate program- Master of Information Technology Management (MITM). Launched in 2025 A.D., the faculty is set to officially commence MITM program from 2026.
The MITM program combines courses in information technology and management, with a specific focus on managing IT systems within organizations. The primary objective of this is to equip students with the knowledge, understanding, and research skills to effectively use and manage advanced technology to address real-world challenges organizations face.
To prepare students for leadership roles within the information technology industry, the MITM program provides in-depth theoretical and practical knowledge across various facets of IT management. The curriculum comprises essential foundation and core courses alongside electives designed to address the rapidly evolving technological landscape, while also engaging students in research projects to enhance their practical skills.
The program also aims to deliver a comprehensive education that produces self-driven IT entrepreneurs and managers capable of starting enterprises and aligning business strategies with technology to create organizational value.
The program is designed for a focused class size of 44 students. The student intake will occur once a year. For the upcoming academic session, the Faculty of Management will run the MITM program in the following constituent campuses:
