Kathmandu Model College (KMC) successfully organized Festa de Kathmandu 2025, a vibrant celebration of music, dance, and culture, filled with enthusiastic participation and dynamic performances.
The event was jointly organized by the Media Reach Out Club and seventh-semester students of BBA, BBM, and BCA, coordinated by the KMC SQC (Student Quality Circle). It was held on Saturday from 10 AM to 6 PM and featured a wide range of engaging student-led performances and activities.
With around 1,000 participants, the event buzzed with energy as the audience enjoyed diverse cultural showcases throughout the day.
The program opened with a welcome address from Dhruva Prasad Timalsina, Head of Internal Quality Assurance, who emphasized how such platforms foster creativity, collaboration, and leadership among students. He also extended gratitude to everyone involved, especially the sponsors, for their crucial support.
The title sponsor for the event was Elite CA, with Kozy Girls Hostel serving as the associate partner. Additional sponsors included Hero Motorcycles, Honor, Park Avenue, eSewa, NMB Bank, Power X Sounds, Classy Printing Press, MIT, Tech Axis, Gurje Homes, Zero Dia, and Pykus. Students and guests enjoyed a variety of food stalls and interactive booths set up by the sponsors.
Performances by well-known bands such as Rock Heads Nepal and Pahelo Batti Muni brought high energy to the festival, alongside musical acts by KMC students from various levels. Robinson Bhandari, President of the Media Reach Out Club and a seventh-semester BBA student, shared that the event was designed to showcase student talent from across the college.
Hosts Divya Gyawali, Subekchhya Adhikari, and Jyoti Kharel kept the crowd engaged throughout the day.
Reflecting on the festival's impact, Sagar Kharel, Program Head of BBA and BBM, stated that Festa de Kathmandu 2025 demonstrated the leadership and creativity of KMC students while reaffirming the college’s commitment to cultural enrichment and holistic education.
