Kathmandu School of Law (KSL) has achieved a remarkable milestone by securing the Cherif Bassiouni Award at the Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition, widely regarded as the world’s largest moot court competition in international law.
Representing KSL, the team comprising Mr. Rishab K.C., Ms. Bipashana Ojha, Ms. Suruchi Belbase, Mr. Rajarshi Aryal, and Mr. Abhinav Singh earned this esteemed recognition for their outstanding written memorials.

The Jessup Moot Court, often referred to as the “Olympics of Law,” brings together thousands of law students from more than 800 universities across the globe. Each year, only a select number of teams are awarded the Cherif Bassiouni Award (formerly the Dillard Award), which honors memorials that achieve the highest scores in national and regional rounds worldwide.
This achievement was made possible under the mentorship of Assoc. Prof. Yugichha Sangroula, Mr. Pravesh Siwakoti, and Ms. Yaman Bhandari, all distinguished alumni of Kathmandu School of Law.

This success marks not only a proud moment for the KSL community but also a significant achievement for Nepal in the global arena of international law.
