Innovations That Made an Impact

Students presented diverse projects that are both innovative and commercially viable. Highlights included:

  • Robotics: Robots capable of object recognition and collection, robot football players, and robotic arms designed for heavy tasks. Some of these robots have already competed internationally, representing Nepal in over 25 countries. There were also entertainment robots that could dance and sing to Nepali songs.
  • IoT and Smart Home Solutions: Projects included smart irrigation systems, water pumps, gas leak detection alarms that notify fire services, automatic window and gate openers using facial recognition, and security systems that send alerts upon unauthorized entry attempts.
  • Healthcare Technology: AI-based health prediction systems designed to provide early warnings and suggest home remedies based on symptoms, encouraging timely consultation with healthcare professionals.
  • Sanitary Pad Vending Machines: A socially impactful project that offers accessible personal care products in educational and public spaces, with plans to deploy the machines across the college’s female restrooms and public institutions as part of corporate social responsibility initiatives.
  • Cybersecurity: Advanced software detecting compromised emails and passwords, analyzing threat levels, and offering firewall-like protection to guard against cyber attacks. Students also developed systems to raise awareness about cybersecurity threats.
  • Drone Technology: Powerful drones capable of carrying up to five kilograms, with potential applications in emergency medical supply delivery and transportation.
  • Other Notable Innovations: Smart mirrors displaying time, weather, air quality, and security camera feeds; software targeting tourism by recommending travel packages based on budget and preferences; share market prediction tools using historical data; unique mobile games; and an operating system named “Danphe.”
