The British College 2025/26: New Academic Year, New Commitments—What Students Need to Know
Degrees Offered in Nepal

The British College was recognised as Nepal's best international college in 2025. It is now placing greater emphasis on academic integrity and students' welfare.

The British College, Nepal, launched its 2025 Clearing Week last year and made further improvements to its existing student support services. The initiatives are already helping the college reinforce its position as Nepal's top international education provider, especially for the 2025 to 2026 academic session.

The college also strengthened its commitment towards nurturing lifelong connections, community building, and professional networking. This is evident from its recent Alumni Meet 2026. It led to the establishment of a new, active alumni association for over 3,000 graduates.

What the Clearance Programme Means for Prospective Students

The British College, Kathmandu, held its Clearing Week 2025 from 8th to 15th October. The initiative aimed to offer prospective students a chance to secure admission, receive career counselling, and tour the campus.

The program was held in the British College campus, and involved a lucky draw offering. The fortunate one could win 50% scholarships worth up to Rs. 8 to 10 lakhs, along with various gift hampers. Moreover, eligible students could receive a Rs. 5000 discount on application fees. Overall, the event concluded with finalised admissions for the 2025 to 2026 intake.

The British College has also announced plans to renew its long-standing Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Leeds Beckett University (LBU). So, students can continue to take advantage of the 2+1 or 2+2 international transfer scheme. They can study their final college years abroad after completing the initial years of their program in Nepal. International transfers are significantly more cost-effective than studying full-time abroad.

Students don’t just get a UK-affiliated degree but also gain exposure to global culture and the job market's competition. Support for a post-study work visa is also available at The British College. Modern classrooms and advanced workshops further highlight the academic excellence available to students.

What Welfare Improvements are Made for Existing Students

The Alumni Meet 2026 was successfully hosted by The British College on 23rd January 2026. The event brought together alumni from across batches for an evening of celebration, networking, and reunion.

The British College, Nepal, demonstrated its proactiveness in organising the alumni meet. The key members of the institution also resonate deeply with the attendees. For example, Mr. Amardeep Mandal, Head of Marketing of The British College, exclaimed “Together We Are Stronger”, which has been a key highlight of the event.

CEO Rajen Kandel also acknowledged the important role of alumni in shaping the institution's future. He advocated establishing an active alumni association that serves as a platform for mentorship, collaboration, and long-term engagement.

What is the New Focus on Institutional Integrity

In 2026, the British College, Nepal, strengthened its focus on the interests of its students, faculty, and staff members. It aims to preserve and further strengthen its position as one of the top colleges in Kathmandu and the best international college in Nepal.

One of the key new commitments by the college is about reforming how complaints are handled. The college is encouraging students, teaching, and non-teaching staff to raise concerns using formal and institutional channels. As a result, complaints are now addressed more constructively and with due process. It has eliminated the need to involve misleading or speculative digital campaigns to reach a decision.

Although open discussions can be healthy, misleading information can easily erode public trust that organisations have built over the years. So, today, The British College, Nepal, is heavily focused on maintaining transparency and accountability. It continues to deliver internationally recognised, UK-accredited education in Nepal.

The British College in Kathmandu has also demonstrated proactiveness in cooperating with regulatory bodies and stakeholders. It has submitted a transparency report to the regulators and publicly disclosed the course fee structures. So, students understand how much exactly they have to pay, thus adding predictability and eliminating perceptions of hidden fees.

New Commitments, Reformed Processes

The British College, Kathmandu, places great emphasis on attracting prospective students, satisfying existing students, and reinforcing its image as Nepal's top international college. The new 2025-26 commitments aim to address student concerns more effectively, create opportunities for global careers, and strengthen institutional integrity.
