Higher Education Scholarship for Freed Kamaiya, Kamlari, Muslim, and Marginalized Female Students–Lumbini Province

The Directorate of Education and Social Development, Lumbini Province, has published this notice to inform that under the approved annual budget and program for the fiscal year 2082/083, there is a program to provide higher education scholarships to Freed Kamaiya, Kamlari, Muslim, and Marginalized female students currently studying at the Bachelor's and Master's levels in community and constituent campuses within Lumbini Province.

Concerned campuses are requested to issue a public notice and collect applications from students within 30 days of the publication of this notice. The campuses must verify the received applications and the following documents, certify them, and submit a consolidated report to the respective Social Development Division Office within 7 days after the application deadline expires.

Documents to be Submitted:

  • Student's Application Letter.
  • Copy of the certificate of passing Grade 12 for Bachelor's level scholarship and passing Bachelor's level for Master's level scholarship.
  • Recommendation from the concerned campus stating that the student is enrolled and studying regularly, with more than 70% attendance.
  • For Freed Kamaiya or Kamlari scholarship: Certified copy of recommendation or certificate issued by the government body.
  • For Muslim and Marginalized scholarship: Recommendation letter/certificate issued by the relevant government body stating inclusion in that specific caste/group.
  • A recommendation letter from the concerned campus stating that the student has not received a scholarship from any other source.
  • A recommendation letter from the concerned local level stating that the student is a permanent resident of Lumbini Province.
  • In the case of a residential scholarship, a Recommendation from the concerned local level and the concerned hostel stating that the student is unmarried, without parents, homeless, staying in a hostel while studying, and unemployed.
  • Name of the bank where the student has an account, address, and account number (Photocopy of the bank cheque).
