Janata Secondary School

Shree Janata Secondary School, located in the heart of Itahari, has been a leading light of education in eastern Nepal since its establishment in 2013 BS. As the oldest school in Itahari, JSS has played a vital role in shaping generations of successful individuals and contributing meaningfully to society. The school has proudly celebrated its golden jubilee, marking decades of educational excellence.

JSS stands as one of the largest schools in Nepal, with around 2,650 students and a dedicated team of experienced educators. With seven buildings currently in use and two more under construction, the school boasts spacious, well-ventilated classrooms along with well-equipped science and computer laboratories. These facilities support a modern and conducive learning environment.

Believing that every student is unique yet equal, the school emphasizes strong collaboration between teachers, students, and parents. The school welcomes new students from Nursery/Playgroup up to Grade XII, with admissions based on entrance examinations aligned with relevant curricula.

At the higher secondary level, JSS offers Plus Two programs in four streams: Science, Management, Education, and Humanities. The institution is also implementing a model school plan under the national master plan, further enhancing its academic framework.
